Family Care Network - Who Are We ?

At Family Care Network, we are a team of health care professionals and support personnel, who are located in family medical offices throughout Bellingham, and Whatcom County Washington. Our offices range in size from single doctor pratices to locations that have several physicians.  All of us are dedicated to creating and maintaining a caring medical service environment for our patients and our greater community.

Our Physicians
Our family physicians are board certified. Today, that means three additional years of training after graduation from medical school, followed by passing a national examination administered by the American Board of Family Medicine. In order to maintain specialty certification, our doctors take continuous reeducation and then must pass a recertification exam every few years, after passing a practice audit.

Also on our professional staff are Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNP), and physician assistants (PA).

An ARNP is a registered nurse who has completed further education to be professionally certified and licensed in the State of Washington to practice as a member of our health care team. A PA is an individual who has undergone specific higher education after college to become professionally trained, certified and licensed in the state of Washington, to practice medicine in partnership with a physician group.

We believe that our doctors,  nurse practitioners and physicians assistants each have unique strengths that they bring to our health care team, and we work closely together to try and make our care more available and complete.
