Arielle M. Furtado, ARNP

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I earned a degree in biology and anthropology from Western Washington University in Bellingham. I earned my master’s in nursing at Seattle University in 2013. After spending four years in Colorado, I am excited to return home to Bellingham and join North Sound Family Medicine again! As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, I provide acute, chronic, and preventative care needs for all individuals, including pediatrics and women’s health.

I love being a family nurse practitioner because I get to be part of a team which includes YOU! I aim to provide and help interpret information as you make decisions in your own health journey. I believe that mental and social health, along with good nutrition and an active lifestyle, play a powerful role in our physical health. My goal is to help the individual realize his or her full health potential while creating a safe and respectful place where you can be yourself.

In my spare time, I enjoy being active with my family including mountain biking, climbing, yoga, and skiing. I completed a yoga teacher training in 2019. I also enjoy gardening, baking, and watching my toddler learn to ride a bike! I love living in Bellingham because I get to ride my bike, be close to my family and be part of a beautiful community!
