Darla Woolman, PA-C, joined Bellingham Bay Family Medicine on August 15th, 2011. Darla comes to us with 12 years of Primary Care and Urgent Care experience. She graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Medicine in 1997.  She also has BA in Spanish that she obtained at Pepperdine University.

Darla’s first interest is spending time with her family. She and her husband were both born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and feel grateful to have landed back here 12 years ago.  He is a high school art teacher for the Mount Baker School District and their children are ages 9, 6 and 4.  Darla volunteers at school and with children’s’ ministries at their church, and lovingly embraces the “kiddy chaos” that is her daily life.  As the co-founder of Access Freedom – a local advocacy agency—she pursues their mission to end domestic minor sex trafficking through education and prevention within our own community.  Otherwise, she can usually be found part way through a book or a knitting project, or getting ready to go for a run.
