David Hansen joined Ferndale Family Medical Center in September 2006. Dr. Hansen, born and raised overseas until he was 12 years old, completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He obtained a degree in business and economics and had a successful career in corporate finance and marketing for 13 years before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. He graduated from Brown University's School of Medicine in 2003. Dr. Hansen then attended the Family Medicine Residency Program at Tacoma General Hospital and Mary Bridge Children's Hospital from 2003 to 2006. He was board certified in 2007.
Dr. Hansen provides full spectrum family medical care for patients of all ages with an emphasis on obstetrics and the care of children. Dr. Hansen is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Hansen is delighted to be practicing medicine in Whatcom County. He and his wife, Lesley, spend much of their free time exploring the Northwest's wild places on foot, skis, and by bicycle.
