Jonathan K. Ploudré, MD

I grew up in Kirkland, Wash. and frequently visited my parents’ cabin on Lake Cavanaugh. I attended college at Stanford University. After college, I spent two years in the Peace Corps teaching science in Western Samoa. Then I went to East Tennessee State University for medical school. I did residency training at Tacoma Family Medicine and am board certified in family medicine.

I joined NCFP in 2005. My interests in medicine include obstetrics, pediatrics, hospice and end-of-life, and pain management.

My wife and I enjoy spending time playing with our three daughters. I’m an avid technophile and particularly like Mac computers and web design. I also enjoy bicycling, hiking, and science fiction. Some of my favorite websites include:

Parent Hacks — gives tips on how to be a better parent
Kevin Kelly’s Cool Tools — reviews things that really work
Arstechinica.com — keeps a pulse on currently popular technology stories
NY Times Health Page
