Dr. Kirk Gulden  joined North Sound Family Medicine in February 2009.  He is accepting new patients.  Born and raised in New Jersey, then graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Microbiology and Public Health, he later received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and completed a Family Medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.  Before coming to Bellingham he practiced family medicine at Wilkes Family Health Center in North Wilkesboro, NC.

Dr. Gulden is board certified in family medicine and provides a wide range of family-centered care including preventive health care for patients of all ages, including childhood checkups and immunizations, adult preventive health care such as Pap tests and screening for chronic disease, as well as childhood and adult acute and chronic disease management.  Dr. Gulden says: “I have always focused my care on the family, welcoming entire households into my practice.  I understand that the health of individuals often influences, and may be influenced by, other family members.  I concentrate on the whole person, including that person’s physical and emotional health and I make healthcare decisions and recommendations based as much as possible on the best evidence-based standards of care.”

Dr. Gulden enjoys the great outdoors and is an avid award-winning photographer.  He plays the clarinet and saxophone and has done extensive genealogical research.
