Dr. Blackwell believes that Family Practice offers something special. Because the family physician can see the whole family, we can be more supportive and have more insight into the interactions between family members that affect health and disease. I believe that it's important as a family physician to care for the whole person. I do not perform surgery or obstetrics. However, I enjoy taking care of newborns, visiting the new parents in the hospital, and helping to guide my patients to other good physicians in our community.
