Dr. Bloom is originally from Ketchikan, Alaska. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Washington, receiving a bachelors of science in biochemistry. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. His residency training was completed at Mercy Medical center in Redding, California, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Bloom joined Sqalicum Family Medicine in 2003, and provides care to people of all ages. He is delighted to provide obstetrical care as part of his practice. He and his wife, Beth, as well as their two small daughters greatly enjoy living in such a vibrant community as Bellingham. He enjoys cycling, cooking, and exploring Whatcom County with his family.
