Brigid Collins mission is to break the cycle of child abuse in Whatcom County and we follow our mission by presenting programs aimed at strengthening families.

Brigid Collins has permanent, on-going programs that are free and available for all parents and families in Whatcom County.

Free group therapy for child & adolescent victims of sexual abuse and their non-offending caregivers. Call for information: 734-4616

Circle Time play group Thursdays, 10:00-11:00 am, A free group for families with children birth to three. Join us for songs, stories, and creative movement activities. Information: 734-4616

Drop-in play group Tuesday, 10:30 am-12:00 pm, Free! Garden Street Family Center, 1231 North Garden Street, Bellingham.   A casual, informal group whose goal is to support each other through the joys and challenges of parenting. For families expecting a baby or with children up to three years old. No pre-registration, just show up!

Parents Helping Parents Peer support group. Parenting is the hardest job we will ever have. It helps to have other parents to talk things over with and to find new ways to handle family situations.

There are currently four Parents Helping Parents groups in Whatcom County:

Bellingham - Garden Street Family Center Tuesday evenings, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. 1231 N. Garden Street (Brigid Collins) Child care program included! Bellingham - Columbia School Wednesday evenings, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Columbia Elementary School, 2508 Utter Street Child care program included!
Everson/Nooksack Tuesday evenings, 6:30 - 8:00 pm Nooksack Elementary School, 3333 Breckenridge Rd. Child care program included! Parents Helping Parents in Recovery Wednesday mornings, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. St. Joseph Recovery Center - Outpatient (South Campus - Third Floor) 809 E. Chestnut, Bellingham
