FCN spreads awareness with #vaxforchange campaign

Mar 24, 2021

Taking a small step toward change, like getting a COVID vaccine, helps us move forward and become better together.

The Family Care Network campaign #vaxforchange aims to bring awareness to the importance of getting vaccinated against COVID-19 to support a healthier future for everyone.

Are COVID vaccines safe?

The three vaccines currently available in the U.S. — Moderna, Pfizer, and Janssen — have been carefully evaluated by the FDA, the CDC, and the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup to make sure they meet safety standards. Additionally, FCN providers reviewed clinical trial data carefully and are confident in their effectiveness. Vaccine-eligible patients can schedule an appointment for a COVID vaccine knowing whichever one they receive is safe and effective.

How do I schedule?

Family Care Network will continue to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible groups as we get more vaccine from the state. Patients can schedule a vaccine appointment online at covidvaccine.fcn.net. If you do not have an email for appointment confirmation and reminders, you can still schedule by calling (360) 733-1342 — open M-F, 8am-4:30pm; closed noon-1pm.

The vaccine alone will not stop the pandemic. In addition to getting the vaccine, you should continue to wear a mask, wash your hands regularly, and stay 6 feet apart from others in public until healthcare officials state otherwise. Find CDC updates for fully vaccinated people at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/index.html.

How can I show support?

If you are a vaccine-eligible FCN patient, you can show your support for a healthier future by posting a photo of yourself after vaccination on Instagram or Facebook with the caption “#vaxforchange.” Please keep your personal information safe and do not post photos of your COVID-19 vaccination card.

If you cannot get an appointment right away, please be patient. We encourage you to check our scheduling site covidvaccine.fcn.net regularly. As we get more vaccine from the state, new appointments will become available.
