I was born in El Paso, Texas but grew up mostly in east Tennessee. I graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Spanish and vocal performance. I completed my physician assistant training at Lincoln Memorial University in beautiful Harrogate, Tennessee. After graduation, I started working in emergency medicine. I was mentored by an excellent doctor with many years of emergency medicine experience, who prior to emergency medicine served as an Army doctor.
After my tenure in emergency medicine and getting married, I moved to Bellingham and have been truly blessed to find new and exciting adventures in both my professional and personal life.
I love the intensity and wide variety of patients and problems I see in urgent care medicine. I have provided care to patients from newborn to the elderly. In addition to serving as a provider at the Urgent Care Center, I am the Anticoagulation Services provider. My goal is to relate to each patient and their specific needs. I care about each patient’s health and best clinical outcomes.
Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities, travel, music and good food.
