Born and raised in southern Illinois, I received my bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southern Illinois University. I served as an officer in the Army Nurse Corp where I traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. I met my husband while we were both stationed in Bremerhaven, Germany in 1979.
My scope of practice includes women's health, adolescent health, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Communication with the patient to collaboratively work toward health and vitality is my focus. I believe in a team effort between the patient and provider to achieve the best state of health possible.
My husband and I currently live in Mt. Vernon with our two children and golden lab, Jasper. My hobbies include gardening, hiking, and reading. I enjoy singing in my church choir and am renowned in the clinic for making the best cakes!
