In 2016, I was drawn to Bellingham’s natural beauty and was happy to discover the richness of the community as well as the high-quality primary care that is available through Family Care Network. Bellingham has been my home since 2017, and I am excited to be part of the hard-working team at North Sound Family Medicine.
I grew up in Texas and received a medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. My family medicine residency was in Modesto, Calif. (with UC Davis), where I served as chief resident during my final year. After residency, I worked in various clinics and hospitals in California and Alaska, and then joined the teaching faculty at Hennepin County Medical Center’s family medicine residency program in Minneapolis. My focus in teaching was in women’s health care and obstetrics. My family then relocated to Pullman, Wash., where I was privileged to serve families and individuals at Pullman Family Medicine and Pullman Regional Hospital.
I offer more than 25 years of full-spectrum family medicine experience. I’m eager to team with patients and families to achieve the best health possible and work toward life balance. I enjoy working with all ages in practice, with a special fondness for growing families and the transition to parenthood.
On a personal note, I enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, jogging, mountain biking, road biking, simple gardening and paddle boarding. Indoors, I like to try my hand at sketching and playing the cello. My husband and I love to travel and have adult “kids” that will often join us on family adventures.
