Family Care Network to add clinic in Bellingham

Family Care Network (FCN) has entered into an agreement with Optum to assume ownership and operations of Optum’s Bellingham primary care clinic located at 3130 Ellis St. The transition is expected to take place this fall.

Family Care Network is excited for this opportunity to support ongoing access to high-quality patient care in our community, as well as welcome new clinicians and team members into our organization. As we partnered with Optum to evaluate this opportunity, it was recognized that our deep roots in the community, longstanding relationships with local patients and providers, and strong regional presence would be a natural fit for the clinic’s next chapter.

We look forward to building a strong, long-lasting relationship with our new team members and patients through the transition and into the future.

How will this impact patients?

Until the transition this fall, the clinic will continue operating as it does today, and patients should continue scheduling appointments and receiving care through their current care teams. We are working closely with Optum to support a smooth transition and continuity of care, and our shared goal is to make this process as seamless as possible. Additional information will be provided directly to patients as decisions are finalized.

We recognize some patients may have questions regarding future insurance participation and coverage. Both organizations are working through this in their transition planning. We expect that most patients will continue to have access to care at this location, seeing the same clinicians they know and trust. Please watch for additional announcements on our website.
