Ana Cornea, MD

I was born in Romania and raised in Kennewick, Wash. I attended Lewis-Clark State College in Idaho, where I played four years of NAIA collegiate tennis, then I completed my master’s degree in molecular microbiology at Washington State University. I received my medical degree from University of Washington and completed my family medicine residency at Sea Mar Community Health Centers. I completed an obstetrics fellowship through Sea Mar and Providence Regional Medical Center, which allows me to manage higher risk pregnancies and perform c-sections.

My passion for medicine comes from building relationships with patients and working with them as a team throughout their lives. In addition to full-spectrum family medicine, I am particularly interested in obstetric care, as well as women’s reproductive health, pediatrics, and adolescent medicine.

My husband and I are excited to move to Bellingham, and I am excited to join the North Sound Family Medicine team! Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, trail running, hiking, and a good farmer’s market.
