Carrie Downing-Larick, DO

Starting Feb. 2, 2026

I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. Although I had the wilderness in my backyard, unlike my Alaska friends I did not appreciate the moose, bears and other large animals outnumbering me. I decided to move to Honolulu and attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where I graduated cum laude with a major in French and minor in biology with honors. Healthcare was always a passion for me, but I wanted to understand it beyond the clinical sense. In 2016, I earned my master’s in public health from George Washington University in Washington D.C. Afterward, I attended Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas in Spartanburg, S.C., graduating in 2020. Which means that my first year in residency was at the height of the pandemic. I completed my family medicine residency in 2023 at the University of Illinois in Peoria, Ill.

I am board certified in family medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine. I am passionate about caring for the whole family from birth onward. Additionally, I am very interested in women’s health, in-office procedures, osteopathic manipulative treatment, public health, violence prevention, advocacy and medical education.

My husband, our dogs and I are very excited to establish roots in the Pacific Northwest. It is similar to Alaska in adventure, a love for nature and great food, but it has less of the big animals. I am excited to be a part of Family Care Network and help my patients and my community lead healthy and happy lives.
