Emilie Funston, DNP, ARNP
As a Skagit County native, I was blessed to be raised in – and now raise my own family in – our beautiful community. I played softball at Pacific University before completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Washington State University. While exploring my career path, I had the honor of working in a variety of roles at our local compounding pharmacy. I went on to complete both my bachelor’s and doctor of nursing practice degrees at Seattle University. My nursing career has primarily focused on obstetrics and endoscopy, with additional experience in public health.
My philosophy of primary care is grounded in delivering holistic, relationship-based care that integrates prevention, comprehensive health management, and a commitment to social justice. Access to comprehensive healthcare and supporting overall function are pivotal to my approach. I am a firm believer in addressing nutrition, psychosocial health, and exercise as pillars of health maintenance. My goal is to tailor care to each individual, helping you achieve your greatest possible quality of life.My passions in healthcare include inclusive reproductive health across the lifespan, pediatrics, and complex healthcare needs. I especially enjoy advocating for individuals with underrecognized or overlooked health concerns.
Outside of work, I enjoy learning and exploring the world with my husband and two kids. You will most likely find me outside in the garden, whipping up gluten-free and allergen-friendly recipes, or scoring an incredible thrift find.
