Erica Gadzik, MD

I grew up in Bellevue, Wash., where I spent most of my childhood playing soccer, camping, and climbing trees. After completing a biology degree at Santa Clara University, I returned to Seattle to attend medical school at the University of Washington. While in medical school, I spent several months in Peru trekking to remote Andean villages to implement a reproductive health program, and later rotated through several hospitals in Nicaragua. I have always been fascinated and motivated by education, preventive medicine and health disparities, and it quickly became clear that family medicine was the perfect field for me.

I completed my family medicine residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where I also served as chief resident. While in Tucson, I had the privilege of providing care to refugee families from all over the world and enjoyed using Spanish on a daily basis with my patients.

I enjoy caring for children and adults, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn about my patients and watch them change and grow over time. I believe in partnering with my patients to help them make informed, individualized decisions regarding their health. I practice full spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics, pediatrics and inpatient medicine, and I am passionate about women’s health and maternity care. I am pleased to also offer gender affirming care (for individuals 18 and older) as a part of my practice. I speak conversational Spanish and am excited to provide care to Hispanic members of the Bellingham community.

After three wonderful years in the desert, I am happy to be returning home to the Pacific Northwest. In my free time, you can find me climbing, backpacking, biking and exploring the outdoors with my husband.
