Hale Loofbourrow, MD

Born and raised in Alaska, I have a deep connection to the land and its people, which has instilled in me a profound appreciation for community and the importance of lasting relationships. While my roots are in Alaska, my family and I are excited to consider western Washington our new home. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia and earned my medical degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway. I then returned home to Alaska to complete my family medicine residency.

My ultimate goal as a physician is to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with my patients. I believe the foundation of excellent healthcare is a strong bond between doctor and patient, built on trust, respect, and open communication. When I meet with patients, I look at the whole person and why they have come to see me. I believe in listening carefully, asking questions, and taking the time to understand and address patients’ concerns directly and thoroughly. When it comes to choosing a treatment plan or course of care, I encourage patients to take an active role in decision-making, which leads to more effective care.

In my free time, I enjoy running, biking, skiing (cross country, downhill and backcountry) and hiking.
