Heather Thomson, ARNP

I have been a nurse practitioner in primary care since 2014. I completed my associates in nursing at Whatcom Community College and then my bachelor’s at the University of Washington. I worked as a nurse for five years before I completed my graduate degree at Hawaii Pacific University on the island of Oahu and became a family nurse practitioner.

I believe that health exists on a spectrum. I focus on meeting individuals where they’re at, reducing barriers and empowering patients to reach their personal goals. As an ARNP I enjoy establishing long-term relationships with individuals of all ages and their families. I enjoy the wide variety of concerns and conditions that are managed in primary care, and I especially enjoy providing mental health care.

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, backpacking, snowshoeing, reading and spending time with my partner Jeremy, family and friends. I’m always open to a new trail or book suggestion!
