Micahlyn Powers, MD

I am a native Washingtonian from Marysville and Bothell. After graduating from UW School of Medicine, I attended Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Boise and served as chief resident. I began my career in Ellensburg, Wash. at a rural community health center, where I provided full spectrum family medicine care, trained future family doctors, and served as clinic director. During that time, my husband and I became foster parents and adopted our wonderful son.

I love getting to know my patients and their families, building trust, and providing affordable, sensible care. I don’t always know the answer, but I’ll work hard to investigate what’s going on with your health and treat you like family. I believe everyone deserves a well-trained, personal physician! My interests in medicine include providing OB care, pediatric care, treating hepatitis C, women’s health, contraception, and vasectomy. I also enjoy providing dermatology services including skin exams, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, rashes, and cosmetic removal of skin lesions.

I also speak conversational Spanish.

When I’m not seeing patients, you can find me at the gym, reading Jane Austen spin-offs, doing yoga, or researching the latest and greatest in skin procedures. My family loves to walk and explore new areas and we set a goal of visiting one national park per year. So far, so good! We have a dog named Berford 2.0 who was named after an episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show. If you can name the episode then you love classic TV as much as I do.

Dr. Powers is proud to provide OB care. When OB care is provided by a family physician, it is unique in many ways! Learn more.
