Originally from Calgary, Alberta in Canada, I met my husband when I attended the University of British Columbia to obtain my nursing degree. We got married in 2011 and moved to Whatcom County, where I began my career as a registered nurse working at both PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center and the Whatcom County Department of Health. I later attended University of Washington in Seattle and obtained my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
I firmly believe a trusting patient-provider partnership is key to achieving optimal health. Foundational to my practice is shared decision-making and providing patient-centered, individualized care. I believe in preventive medicine and when needed, providing counseling and evidence-based treatments to help set patients up for success.
My husband and I have two beautiful daughters who keep us busy. When I do have a moment to myself I enjoy reading, exercising, and listening to a good podcast.
