Tara Berry, DO

I am originally from British Columbia but completed all of my post-secondary education in Texas. I played college basketball and received my degree in psychology at Rice University. I then attended Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine to complete medical school. My family medicine residency program was at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. I spent one year as a hospitalist before joining Family Care Network.

What I love about family medicine is connecting with and caring for people of every age, from newborns to grandparents. I enjoy listening, teaching and communicating with my patients so that together we can form a treatment plan that addresses the whole person — physical, mental and social. My patients inspire me to continue learning every day. I especially enjoy preventive care, women’s health, musculoskeletal issues and minor office procedures. You will also find me at the hospital doing inpatient medicine.

My husband and I spend our free time watching our twins (they can be quite the handful!). In Texas, I enjoyed running and playing soccer and basketball in city leagues. Now that we are up in Whatcom County, I look forward to all the outdoor activities this wonderful community has to offer – hiking, kayaking, gardening and maybe even crabbing.
