FCN providers open to OB care

Feb 7, 2022 | News

When you’re starting a family, you want nothing but the best for your child, even before they’re born.

At Family Care Network, our OB providers feel the same, which is why they’re committed to providing the best care for you and your baby.

“Family physician OB providers are dedicated to their specialty,” said Family Care Network Chief Medical Officer Jim Hopper, MD. “Those that do OB care pay special attention to their OB patients, because it’s a special thing to care for patients through a pregnancy.”

Having a family physician provide OB services gives you the peace of mind that you will have a trusted healthcare partner throughout your pregnancy and delivery.

After birth, the same doctor who delivered your baby can be your baby’s primary care physician.

“There’s a special connection that forms,” Hopper said. “Those kids feel pretty special to a family care doctor.”

Some FCN providers are also experienced in high-risk pregnancies, including c-sections.

Many Family Care Network doctors in Whatcom and Skagit County are accepting new OB patients. To learn more and find a doctor near you, visit the “Find a Doc” page on our website.
