Brandan Stark, DO

I’m excited to join the Bellingham community and North Sound Family Medicine. I completed my bachelor’s degree at California State University, Chico in psychology. I then attended medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago followed by residency at UC Davis Medical Center. I am board certified in both family medicine and addiction medicine.

I believe in treating the whole person, including the psychologic and social aspects of health. I have particular interest in caring for people with diabetes, adolescent care, and finding and addressing roadblocks to good health. I enjoy caring for families and getting to understand their internal dynamics. Helping people with substance abuse or alcoholism find and maintain sobriety is a priority. I encourage people to be proactive with their health care to live as happy and healthy as possible. I strive to give the best evidence-based medical advice — and I try to stay on time!

I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids. I like to travel and experience new things. I am fascinated by the natural world and would love to talk about dahlias, meteorites and bonsai plants. I look forward to meeting you and establishing a relationship. I also hope to see you on Mt. Baker, hiking the local trail systems, or swimming in Lake Whatcom.
