I was born and raised in Wisconsin and completed my bachelor’s degree in neurobiology and community and environmental sociology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. I then moved to Bozeman, Montana and worked as a ski patroller, wilderness medicine instructor, and emergency room tech. After my time in Montana, I moved to California to attend Stanford University for physician assistant school. Upon graduating I worked for Dignity Health Urgent Care and Dominican Hospital Emergency Department in Santa Cruz, California before moving to Bellingham to work for Family Care Network.
I believe in delivering patient-centered, evidenced-based medicine. I love the constant problem solving involved in medicine and that no two days are ever the same. I have a particular interest in disaster and wilderness medicine and am working on a fellowship from the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. I also work as part of a disaster medical assistance team for the National Disaster Medical System.
In my free time I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, climbing, and traveling. I look forward to exploring more of the Pacific Northwest and becoming a part of the Bellingham community.
