Dr. John Hiemstra has moved his practice from Birch Bay Family Medicine to Lynden Family Medicine. Dr. Hiemstra is now accepting new patients at the Lynden office. Dr. Hiemstra is a Doctor of Osteopathy. A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is liscensed to perform surgery and prescribe medicine. Osteopaths receive additional training in hands on manual medicine and the body's musculoskeletal system. Like an M.D., an Osteopath completes 4 years of medical school, and can choose to practice any specialty of medicine. Dr. Hiemstra chose family medicine.

Sarah obtained her undergraduate nursing degree from Seattle Pacific University in 1996 and her graduate degree from University of Washington in 2001. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatrics. She is currently accepting new pediatric and adult patients.
