Family Health Associates welcomes Dr. Rodney Anderson
Dr. Rodney Anderson joined Family Health Associates in October, 2009. He is a native of the Pacific Northwest having been raised in Woodinville, WA. He attended Stanford University for his undergraduate degree and received his medical degree from the University of Washington. He then moved to Southern California to complete his Family Medicine residency training at Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, CA.
After Hours Urgent Care and Medical Testing Center have moved to new location
The After Hours Urgent Care Clinic and the Medical Testing Center have now moved. They are now located together at 3130 Squalicum Parkway, across the street from St. Francis Extended Care near St. Joseph Hospital.
After Hours Urgent Care is open Weekday evenings 5 PM to 9 PM, Weekends and Holidays 1 PM to 5 PM.
The Medical Testing Center is open 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.
Our patients are invited to use our After Hours Urgent Care Clinic if urgent problems arise when their doctor's office is closed. The After Hours Urgent Care Clinic is not a replacement for the hospital emergency department, but rather, it is an after hours office which is available for those unanticipated illnesses or injuries which people would ordinarily consult their family doctor about. Our Physicians
All our family physicians are board certified. Today, that means three years of training after graduation from medical school, followed by a nationally standardized examination. In order to maintain specialty certification, it is necessary to take and pass a recertification exam every six years, and pass a practice audit.
Our Nurse Practitioners
Geraldine Kildow and Sharon Kerlin are Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners that help to provide patient care in our office. An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) is a registered nurse with further education who is also professionally certified and licensed in the state of Washington to practice as a member of our health care team. We believe that both our doctors and our nurse practitioners have unique strengths that they bring to our health care team, and we pledge to work closely together to try and make our care more available and complete.

H1N1 Vaccine Information
We are now allowed to administer H1N1 vaccine to all persons over 6 months of age. Distribution to us has been increasing slowly, so that we now have vaccine available in our offices. Contact your physicians office directly to receive the vaccine, or you may take advantage of one of the public vaccination clinics that are being offered by the Whatcom County Health Department.
