I am a native to the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington and went to Central Washington University for my undergraduate degree. I took a trip to the midwest for medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where my husband’s family is from, then returned for residency at Tacoma Family Medicine. I have been blessed to have two children after residency and am looking forward to life as “doctor mom.”
I enjoy caring for young families, including a particular interest in pediatrics, obstetrics and women’s health. I feel incredibly fortunate when I can care for families and watch them grow. As my young family grows I expect my interests will grow as well – which is the best part of family medicine and one of the reasons why I was drawn to it. I get the unique opportunity to grow with my patients and care for them over a lifetime, developing continuity and deep relationships as time passes.
During the wonderful Washington summers I love to spend time outdoors with my family, including hiking, biking, camping, gardening and playing soccer. When weather is less than desirable I enjoy indoor activities as well, including sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking and canning. Our family is looking forward to calling Bellingham our home and integrating into a wonderful community!
